President Bashir Ahmad has described the security situation in Northern Nigeria as “heartbreaking,” warning that violence and unrest continue to escalate. He highlighted that communities are facing increasing attacks, causing fear and displacement among residents.
Ahmad stressed that insecurity is affecting daily life, disrupting businesses, schools, and agriculture, while placing immense pressure on security agencies to contain criminal activities. He called for urgent interventions to protect lives and restore peace.
He urged both federal and state governments to strengthen intelligence gathering, enhance community policing, and engage local leaders to curb violence. According to him, coordinated efforts are essential to prevent further loss of lives and property.
The presidential aide appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to authorities, emphasizing that collaboration between communities and security forces is key to combating insecurity in the region.
