Youth groups from Nigeria’s North Central region have pledged to begin an aggressive voter mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. The coalition said its goal is to encourage young people and first-time voters to participate fully in the democratic process. Leaders of the movement explained that greater youth involvement is key to shaping the future of the country.

According to the organisers, the drive will include awareness programmes, town hall meetings, and community outreach across states in the region.
