APC Appoints Olawande, Betta Edu to Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council has announced new appointments to its youth and women mobilisation directorates and established a new Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The changes were announced in a statement signed by the council’s Secretary, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who said the restructuring followed the council’s inauguration and was aimed at strengthening coordination and improving operational efficiency.

Under the new arrangement, Dr Farouk Adamu Aliyu has been appointed Director of Stage Organisation and Management, while Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello will serve as Co-Director.

Olawande to Lead Youth Mobilisation

The council appointed Mr Ayo Olawande as Director of Youth Mobilisation, with Dr Dayo Israel named Deputy Director.

The appointments are part of efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement and expand the party’s mobilisation drive, particularly among young Nigerians, as the APC prepares for the 2027 presidential election.

Betta Edu Named Deputy Director of Women Mobilisation

In the women mobilisation directorate, Dr Mary Aille Idele has been appointed Director, with Dr Betta Edu serving as Deputy Director and Hon. Imaan Suleman appointed Secretary.

The council said the revised structure was designed to promote an inclusive campaign capable of mobilising Nigerians across different demographic groups in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Council Tasks Appointees on Effective Coordination

The campaign council urged the newly appointed officials to deploy their experience and organisational skills to their respective assignments while working closely with other directorates to implement the party’s campaign and mobilisation strategies.

The appointments come as APC leaders, political stakeholders and support groups intensify preparations ahead of the 2027 general election.

In Kogi East, Senator Isah Jibrin has mobilised support for Tinubu and the APC, while other political figures have continued to clarify their positions on the forthcoming electoral contest.

Among them is FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who has distinguished his support for Tinubu from his position on other APC candidates.

The campaign council stressed that effective collaboration among its directorates and other relevant political structures would be critical to achieving its mobilisation objectives ahead of the presidential election.
