22-Year-Old Nigerian Breaks Guinness World Record for Visiting the Most Fast Food Restaurants on Foot

In an extraordinary feat of determination and endurance, Munachimso Brian Nwana, a 22-year-old Nigerian content creator, has set a new Guinness World Record. Brian achieved this by visiting an impressive 150 fast food restaurants in 24 hours—all on foot.

Guinness World Records officially announced Brian’s achievement across their social media platforms, congratulating him for surpassing the previous record of 100 restaurants set by American YouTuber Airrack in 2023. Before that, TikTok stars Nick DiGiovanni and the late Lynn “Lynja” Davis had held the record. While these attempts took place in New York City, Brian’s record was set in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, a city known for its limited public transport infrastructure.

Brian began his journey at 5 p.m. in Abuja’s Gwarinpa residential district and finished in the city center, walking over 25 kilometers to achieve his goal. Due to the lack of public transportation options, Brian completed the entire route on foot, making his accomplishment even more challenging compared to previous record-holders in New York, where restaurants are closer together and public transport is readily available.

Brian faced another challenge: to qualify for the record, he had to purchase and consume something at each restaurant, with at least 75% of his orders being food. Despite eating “probably enough to last a week,” Brian made sure to at least taste something from the majority of places he visited. The remaining food was given to his team and members of the public.

Interestingly, Brian took a nine-hour break from midnight to 9 a.m. during the 24-hour challenge to rest, demonstrating not just his physical stamina but also his strategic planning.

Brian’s incredible achievement is an inspiration for people everywhere, showing that with determination and hard work, anything is possible—even breaking world records in a city like Abuja.

Breaking this record wasn’t just about visiting restaurants; it was about pushing boundaries and showing the world what can be achieved with dedication and resilience. Brian’s success reminds us that challenges are not limits—they’re opportunities to go beyond what we think is possible.
