Vice President Kashim Shettima has led a Federal Government delegation to Kaima, Kwara State, following the recent massacre that left several residents dead and communities in mourning. The visit was aimed at showing the Federal Government’s sympathy and solidarity with the affected families and the people of the area.
During the visit, Shettima conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s condolences, describing the attack as heartbreaking and unacceptable. He assured the victims’ families that the government shares in their pain and is committed to ensuring that justice is served for those affected by the tragic incident.
The Vice President also met with traditional rulers, community leaders, and security officials, where discussions focused on restoring peace and preventing further attacks. He emphasised the government’s determination to strengthen security in rural communities and track down those responsible for the violence.
Shettima further reassured residents that the Federal Government would continue to work closely with the Kwara State Government to enhance safety and provide support for the affected communities. He urged citizens to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies as efforts intensify to protect lives and property.
