Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has issued strong warnings to politicians he believes are supporting acts of betrayal against him. He made the remarks on Saturday in Port Harcourt while commissioning the Rivers State office of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
Speaking passionately, Wike said lawmakers and political leaders who back betrayal will eventually face the same fate. According to him, no position—whether senator, House of Representatives member, minister, or governor—offers protection from the consequences of disloyalty.
The former Rivers State governor warned that betrayal attracts betrayal, insisting that those who support it are planting seeds that will return to haunt them. He stated that such politicians would be left helpless when they eventually face similar treatment from allies and associates.
Wike also cautioned governors serving second terms and those attempting to install successors, saying that supporting betrayal would ruin their political future. He stressed that loyalty and integrity remain essential for political survival, adding that anyone who chooses otherwise should be ready to face the outcome.
