Transfer: Man Utd announce deal for Amass

Manchester United have confirmed that young defender Harry Amass has joined Norwich City on loan for the remainder of the season. The club announced the deal on Saturday through a statement on its official website, just ahead of their Premier League clash with Arsenal. The move is aimed at giving the teenager more regular playing time in the Championship.

Amass had only recently returned to Old Trafford from a previous loan spell earlier this month. However, United have now decided that another temporary move will better support his development, with Norwich providing an opportunity for consistent first-team football at Carrow Road.

The 18-year-old is a proud product of the Manchester United Academy, becoming the club’s 253rd academy graduate. He made his senior debut against Leicester City on his 18th birthday in March 2025 and went on to impress during the campaign. His performances earned him the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award after making six first-team appearances last season.

In its statement, Manchester United wished the defender well, expressing confidence that the loan spell will help his growth. The club noted that the experience gained at Norwich will be valuable as Amass continues his journey toward becoming a regular feature in the United first team.
