Power Dynamos head coach, Osward Mutapa, has expressed confidence in his team ahead of their CAF Champions League encounter against Rivers United. Mutapa said the club’s recent league victory over Mufulira Wanderers has lifted morale and prepared the players mentally for the continental challenge.

The Kitwe-based side secured a narrow 1-0 win against Mufulira Wanderers over the weekend, a result the coach described as timely. According to him, the performance showed the team’s readiness and competitive spirit ahead of the crucial CAF Champions League fixture scheduled for Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Mutapa stressed that Power Dynamos have enough depth and experience to handle the pressure of continental football. He noted that the team has already played several matches in the competition, making it easier for players to adapt even when changes are made to the lineup without affecting overall performance.

Rivers United will host Power Dynamos in the return leg next week in Uyo, making the first meeting even more important. Both teams are expected to push hard as they battle for a positive result that could shape their progress in the CAF Champions League.
