The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said that those he described as “bad people” will not succeed in destabilising Rivers State. He made the statement while reacting to the ongoing political tension in the state, insisting that truth and justice will eventually win.
Wike said that the crisis was created by people who want power for selfish reasons and are not interested in the peace or development of Rivers State. He added that such individuals often try to confuse the public with lies, propaganda, and false accusations.
According to him, Rivers State has made progress in the past because of strong leadership and unity, and that must not be destroyed by political desperation. He urged the people of the state to remain calm, law-abiding, and focused on development rather than being drawn into political fights.
Wike assured his supporters that no amount of pressure, threats, or attacks would stop the truth from coming out. He said that in the end, those working against peace and stability in Rivers State would fail.
