EPL: Rio Ferdinand names 3 managers Man Utd should appoint after Amorim sack

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has suggested three managers the club should consider after sacking Ruben Amorim. The former defender shared his thoughts on social media, saying United need a coach who can rebuild the team and restore confidence after a difficult period.

Ferdinand named Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Tuchel and Xavi Hernandez as his top choices. He praised their tactical strength, experience and ability to manage big squads. De Zerbi is currently in charge of Marseille, Tuchel is coaching the England national team, while Xavi has been out of work since leaving Barcelona nearly two years ago.

For now, Manchester United’s Under-18 coach Darren Fletcher is expected to take charge of the team for Wednesday’s Premier League game against Brighton. Ferdinand also hinted that Fletcher could be considered for the job permanently if he performs well and earns the trust of the players and fans.

The comments have sparked debate among supporters, with many discussing which manager would best fit United’s style and long-term plans. As the club searches for stability, the decision on the next manager could shape Manchester United’s future for years to come.
