The South-West security outfit, Amotekun, has arrested three individuals over the alleged theft of goats in the region. The arrests were made following reports from local farmers about missing livestock.
According to the Amotekun command, the suspects were apprehended while attempting to transport the stolen animals. The operation was carried out in collaboration with community vigilantes and local authorities.
The security agency warned that livestock theft would not be tolerated and urged residents to report suspicious activities promptly. Amotekun emphasized its commitment to protecting property and maintaining peace in rural communities.
The arrested suspects are currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities said the case would be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to other criminals in the area.
