The Cross River State Government has announced plans to enforce a state colour policy and a mandatory security number starting next year. The Commissioner in charge of the initiative said the move is aimed at improving identification and strengthening security across the state.
According to the Commissioner, the state colour will help promote a shared identity and make official activities easier to recognise. The mandatory security number, on the other hand, will help security agencies track residents and respond faster to emergencies and crimes.
He explained that the government will begin awareness campaigns to educate residents before enforcement starts. The process, he added, will be simple and affordable to ensure that everyone can comply without stress.
The Commissioner urged residents to support the policy, saying it is designed to protect lives and property. He assured the public that personal data will be handled responsibly and used strictly for security purposes.
