Former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has warned that the rising activities of militias and violent groups across Nigeria show that the Federal Government is becoming overwhelmed. He said the situation is getting worse and requires urgent action.
Kwankwaso explained that insecurity is spreading from one region to another, making many communities unsafe. He called on the government to strengthen security agencies and ensure they have the manpower and tools needed to confront criminals.
He also noted that if the problem is not tackled quickly, more Nigerians may be forced to flee their homes. According to him, the government must work with local leaders, vigilantes, and communities to restore peace and stop the spread of violent groups.
Kwankwaso stressed that restoring security is the most important task before the government. He urged leaders at all levels to unite, act responsibly, and put the safety of citizens above politics.
