Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has urged law enforcement officers to handle security situations with caution and professionalism. He said the use of force should always follow clear rules and must only be applied when absolutely necessary. According to him, officers must protect citizens, not intimidate them.
Governor Uba Sani explained that excessive force damages public trust and makes communities afraid to cooperate with security agencies. He stressed that proper training, discipline, and respect for human rights are key to maintaining peace in Kaduna State. He also encouraged officers to adopt modern, non-violent methods of controlling tense situations.
The governor noted that security personnel face tough challenges, but they must manage crises responsibly. He added that peaceful engagement, intelligence gathering, and dialogue often prevent violence more effectively than brute force. He assured that his administration will continue providing training and support to improve their performance.
Uba Sani called on community members to work hand in hand with law enforcement and report suspicious activities. He said safety is everyone’s responsibility, and mutual trust between citizens and officers is the strongest tool against insecurity.
