APC has not treated me fairly despite my loyalty — Former Gov, Ayade

Former Governor of Cross River State, Benedict Ayade, has expressed dissatisfaction with the All Progressives Congress (APC), alleging that the party has not treated him fairly despite his unwavering loyalty. Ayade made the remarks in a recent interview while discussing his political journey and experiences within the APC.

The former governor stated that he had supported the party through thick and thin, contributing to its growth and electoral successes in Cross River State. However, he lamented that his loyalty had not been reciprocated with the recognition or support he expected.

Ayade emphasized that political loyalty should be acknowledged and rewarded, warning that neglecting devoted members could weaken the party’s cohesion and public image. He suggested that parties must ensure fairness and inclusivity to maintain the trust of their members.

Despite his grievances, Ayade assured that he remains committed to engaging in constructive dialogue within the political landscape and encouraged the APC to address concerns raised by loyal members. He added that internal party democracy and fairness are vital for sustaining political stability.

The former governor concluded by calling on political parties, including the APC, to reflect on their treatment of members and ensure that loyalty is met with respect, support, and equitable opportunities within party structures.
