Leaders from Southern and Middle Belt regions have reacted to comments linked to former US President Donald Trump about military involvement in Nigeria. They stated clearly that Nigerians do not want any foreign military intervention unless it is requested by the country’s government.

According to the leaders, Nigeria is a sovereign nation capable of managing its internal issues without outside interference. They stressed that unsolicited military action could escalate problems rather than solve them. They urged the international community to respect Nigeria’s independence and allow the nation to handle its security challenges through internal reforms, stronger governance, and regional cooperation.

They added that Nigerians appreciate global support when necessary, but such assistance should always be based on mutual consent and respect for national sovereignty.
