A former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Baido, has officially left the party and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His defection marks a major political move as he aligns with the ruling party ahead of future political activities in the state.
Baido said his decision was based on his desire to support a more united and progressive political structure. According to him, joining the APC will help him contribute better to governance and development. He also thanked his supporters and urged them to stand with him in his new political journey.
The APC welcomed Baido and described his entry as a big boost to the party. Party leaders said his political experience and popularity will strengthen the party’s presence and influence in the state.
Political observers believe Baido’s defection may change the political balance in the area, as he remains an influential figure in local politics.
