IBUAM: Keyamo, Midala, Others Hail Balami, Says Tinubu Will Win Borno In 2027

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Management, Festus Keyamo, has commended Comrade Isaac Balami for establishing the Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM), describing the initiative as a major milestone that will attract more Nigerians to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking during the unveiling of the university, Keyamo said the achievement represents the kind of private-sector innovation that aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for education and human capital development.

Keyamo praised Balami’s determination, recalling that the aviation entrepreneur first shared his plans for the university with him shortly after his ministerial appointment. “This is another feather to my cap as Minister of Aviation. I can proudly say I’ve delivered my own polling unit in this sector,” Keyamo said, adding that IBUAM reflects Tinubu’s focus on empowering young Nigerians through practical, skills-based education. He described the university as the first in Africa to integrate a flying school, aviation training, and aircraft maintenance under one institution.

Also speaking, Hon. Midala Balami, who represents Askira Uba Federal Constituency, lauded Isaac Balami as a visionary and a symbol of resilience. He said the establishment of IBUAM has significantly boosted the APC’s presence in Borno State, adding that President Tinubu is now better positioned for victory in the 2027 general elections. “Congratulations to Isaac Balami for completing almost half of Tinubu’s campaign in Borno,” he remarked.

In his address, Isaac Balami expressed gratitude to President Tinubu, Festus Keyamo, Seyi Tinubu, Captain Chris Najomo, and other supporters of the project. He emphasized that the university is more than just an academic institution — it’s a commitment to nation-building. “Our aim is to produce 21-year-old graduates who can work anywhere in the world without supervision,” he said. Balami also encouraged state governments and organizations to provide scholarships, promising that profits from the university would be reinvested into society through his foundation.

Meanwhile, Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, announced scholarships for 100 female students at IBUAM, stressing that the initiative supports President Tinubu’s vision for gender inclusion and empowerment. The event drew dignitaries such as the Director General of NCAA, Captain Chris Najomo, senators, and industry leaders. Interested students who scored 200 and above were urged to visit www.ibuam.edu.ng for registration, with scholarships expected from agencies like NDDC and NEDC.
