Two Kenyan activists have been abducted in Uganda shortly after attending a rally organized for an opposition leader. Witnesses say they were taken away by unidentified men in plain clothes, sparking fear and outrage among human rights groups.

Reports suggest the activists had been supporting democratic reforms and were targeted because of their involvement in the rally. Their disappearance has raised serious concerns about freedom of assembly, human rights, and political repression in the region.

Civil society organizations in both Kenya and Uganda are demanding their immediate release. Calls are also growing for international attention, with campaigners insisting that political activism should not be criminalized. The Ugandan government is yet to issue an official statement.
