Atiku, El-Rufai, ADC leaders visit Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja. The visit highlighted respect for traditional authority and the importance of engaging royal fathers in national matters.

During the visit, the political leaders discussed issues of unity, leadership, and the role of traditional rulers in fostering peace and development. They emphasized that traditional institutions remain critical in bridging the gap between political leaders and the people. The Olubadan, in his response, appreciated the visit and urged leaders to prioritize the welfare of Nigerians.

The gathering has stirred discussions in political circles, with many viewing it as a strategic move ahead of 2027 politics. Observers believe such visits underline the growing influence of traditional rulers in Nigeria’s political and social landscape.
