The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested seven suspected “one-chance” criminals linked to the killing of a young graduate in Abuja. The suspects were said to have lured the victim into their vehicle under the guise of public transport before robbing and fatally attacking him.

Police confirmed that the suspects, who have long been on their watchlist, specialized in dispossessing unsuspecting passengers of their belongings. Their arrest followed an intelligence-led operation, and authorities assured residents that investigations are ongoing to ensure justice for the deceased and his family.

The command urged residents to be vigilant and avoid unregistered commercial vehicles while assuring the public of its commitment to combating rising cases of one-chance robberies across Abuja. The police also promised to intensify patrols and surveillance to restore confidence in public safety.
