Cristiano Ronaldo, the star forward of Al Nassr, has strongly hit back at people criticizing Joao Felix’s decision to join the Saudi Pro League club.
Felix left Chelsea this summer and signed for Al Nassr in a deal worth £26 million, which could rise to £43 million. His move to the Middle East has been widely debated, with many questioning why the 25-year-old chose Saudi Arabia so early in his career.
Since joining, Felix has quickly made an impact. He has already played five matches, scoring a hat-trick on his debut and providing one assist.
However, not everyone is impressed. A popular Portuguese podcast, Chuveirinho, recently criticized Felix for leaving European football at his age.
Ronaldo didn’t hold back in his response. Commenting on a clip from the podcast on Instagram, he wrote: “Idiots don’t understand anything about football, yet they still give their opinions.”
