EPL: I feel sorry for Sesko – Simpson questions viability of three Man Utd players

Former Manchester United defender, Danny Simpson, has raised concerns about whether three Red Devils players – Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui, and Diogo Dalot – can perform well in Ruben Amorim’s Premier League system.

Simpson also shared sympathy for striker Benjamin Sesko, saying he looked helpless in United’s recent game.

His comments came after Manchester United’s 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

Manchester City won the derby with goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, giving Pep Guardiola’s team all three points.

Speaking on Stadium Astro, Simpson explained that City didn’t fear Patrick Dorgu on the left side. “They let him have the ball because they know he won’t cause any real danger,” he said.

He added that while Dorgu works hard, United offer little threat from the wings. Simpson compared him to Amad, who, when used as a wingback, brings more creativity and danger.

However, Simpson stressed that Dorgu, Mazraoui, and Dalot do not look suitable for Amorim’s Premier League setup.

On United’s attack, Simpson said he pitied Sesko because he kept trying but had no support or service to create real chances.
