Four people are feared dead after a canoe overturned in Fajul River, Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The tragic incident happened on September 10 around 4 p.m. The canoe, paddled by 35-year-old Nankpak Danladi, was carrying four passengers on their way to Wase when it capsized.

According to a source who spoke with security analyst Zagazola Makama, all four passengers drowned in the river. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.

After receiving the report, security operatives from Langtang South joined forces with local divers to search the river. So far, no bodies have been found, but the rescue and recovery effort continues.
