Famous chef Hilda Baci, who once held a Guinness World Record for marathon cooking, is planning to break another record by cooking 250 bags of rice in the world’s largest jollof pot.
She shared her plan in a trending video on Instagram, which quickly caught the attention of fans.
Hilda revealed that she will be using a huge 22,619-litre pot for this record attempt. Speaking about the cooking process, she said she had made the decision to cook 250 bags of basmati rice.
The pot measures 6 meters wide, 6 meters long, 1.1 meters tall, and about 1.3 meters deep, and she is confident it will hold all the ingredients.
The event is set for September 12, 2025, and it is expected to feed around 10,000 people, making it both a record-breaking and community-focused event.
This new attempt comes two years after Hilda Baci set the record for the longest cooking marathon, spending 93 hours and 11 minutes cooking nonstop as an individual.
