Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has once again raised concern about the worsening insecurity in Nigeria.
On his official X handle, Obi condemned the brutal killing of worshippers in Katsina State, describing the incident as heartbreaking and devastating.
The former Anambra governor urged leaders to place value on human life, stressing that such tragedies must not be treated as ordinary statistics.
The sad news from Katsina has become even more painful as reports show that more than 50 bodies have now been recovered while the search continues.
Obi said the attack was not only against innocent worshippers but also a painful reminder of the deep insecurity facing the country.
He warned that unless Nigeria urgently addresses the root causes of insecurity, the nation will continue to mourn needless deaths.
