Armed bandits attacked Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday, killing one person and kidnapping two others.

The incident was reported by security expert Zagazola Makama, who said the attack happened around 12:15 a.m. when some youths were ambushed on their way to Barkin Ladi town.

According to him, the gunmen opened fire, killing 25-year-old Dayes Alexander, while two other young men, Palang Daniel, 26, and Gabriel Ayuba, 25, were taken away to an unknown location.

He added that security officers were sent to the area and were searching nearby bushes to rescue the victims.

The body of the deceased has been handed over to his family for burial after they declined an autopsy.
