President Bola Tinubu’s government has destroyed Nigeria’s middle class, according to Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana. He made this claim during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

Falana criticised the president’s economic reforms, describing them as harsh and unfair. According to him, the policies have increased poverty levels instead of improving the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

He also accused the government of allowing only a small group of people to control the country’s resources. This, he said, has worsened the gap between the rich and the poor.

Falana warned that you cannot reduce income inequality while handing over national wealth to a few individuals through privatisation. He added that the situation has become so bad that most Nigerians can no longer afford to eat three square meals a day.
