Dreka Gates has decided to end her marriage to rapper Kevin Gates after being together for nearly 10 years. She officially filed for divorce, bringing their long relationship to a close.

The court filing was made on July 30, 2025. Their wedding took place in October 2015, so this decision comes just a few months before what would have been their 10th anniversary.

From documents seen by TMZ, Dreka mentioned that they separated on July 10. She said the main reason for the breakup is “irreconcilable differences.” The couple has two kids—Islah who is 12, and Khaza who is 11. Dreka is asking the court for joint legal and physical custody of both children.

She also wants spousal support from Kevin but asked the court not to allow Kevin to receive any support from her. The documents didn’t say whether the couple signed a prenup before getting married.

Dreka wasn’t just Kevin’s wife—she also helped manage parts of his music career. Many fans believed she helped bring stability to his life and work. Their split comes close to what would have marked a decade of marriage.

Kevin Gates’ team was contacted for a statement, but they said the rapper doesn’t want to comment on the matter for now.
