Popular entertainer Charly Boy, also known as Area Father, has reacted to Yul Edochie’s recent statement supporting a South East candidate for Nigeria’s presidency.

Yul, a well-known actor, recently posted a video saying the South East should be given a chance to produce the country’s next president.

This new opinion from Yul Edochie is different from his earlier support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Many Nigerians see Peter Obi from the Labour Party as the top choice from the South East for the 2027 elections.

In the last general election, Obi came third, behind Bola Tinubu of the APC and the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, according to INEC’s official results.

Peter Obi has already shown interest in running again in 2027. In the video that went viral on X, Yul said, “The next President of Nigeria should come from the South East. It’s only fair and right.”

Charly Boy responded to this on X, saying, “Yul Edochie finally sees the light. Thank God you don dey change lane,” suggesting he’s happy Yul now supports a South East president.
