2027: Obi most qualified to lead Nigeria out of current challenges – Obidient movement

Supporters of the Obidient Movement in Ebonyi State have once again shown their strong belief in Peter Obi. They say he is the most capable person to lead Nigeria in 2027 and solve the country’s many problems.

They shared this message during a special celebration in Abakaliki, held to mark Peter Obi’s 64th birthday.

Dr. Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, a member of the group’s national advisory team, called Obi “an institution of hope.” He said Peter Obi stands out because of his good character, competence, experience, and compassion—qualities Nigeria urgently needs right now.

During the week, members of the movement visited hospitals, leprosy centres, and shelters for mothers and babies across Ebonyi State. Dr. Ezeh said these visits also happened in other states and even outside Nigeria, where Nigerians live. It was their way of spreading hope, just as Obi has inspired them to do.

He stressed that, even though the country is going through tough times—like corruption, poor leadership, and economic hardship—Peter Obi still represents hope for ordinary Nigerians. According to him, Nigeria needs someone like Obi now more than ever.

Splendor Oko Eze, Labour Party’s 2023 governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, also spoke at the event. He warned political leaders not to turn the 2027 presidential race into a contest for the highest bidder.

He said no one is more qualified than Obi, especially someone who helped grow a party that had no structure into one that now has senators, lawmakers, and even a governor. He questioned why such a person should be told to become vice president.

He ended with a warning to coalition parties, urging them not to impose any candidate on the people. He said the coalition should focus on helping poor Nigerians and not be used to sell political tickets. In his words, “The most qualified person is Peter Obi.”
