Former APC Chairman John Oyegun blames ruling party for insecurity and hunger as he receives his ADC membership card

Former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Oyegun, has officially left the party and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Oyegun made his new political move in Benin, Edo State, where he was presented with his ADC membership card by the party’s state chairman, Kennedy Odion.

Odion praised Oyegun’s deep political experience and his history of forming successful political coalitions. He said Oyegun knows how to bring people together and create powerful alliances.

Oyegun, who led the APC from 2014 to 2018, explained that his decision to join the ADC came after careful talks and consultations with about seven different political parties.

According to him, they discussed with several groups but still returned to ADC because it showed the most commitment and dedication to real change.

Oyegun strongly criticized the current APC government, blaming it for the worsening security problems and increasing hunger across the country, especially in places like Benue State.

He also raised concerns about how the country is becoming more divided under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership. Oyegun said the ADC, along with other groups, is working to fix the direction of Nigeria’s governance.

He expressed excitement about ADC’s growth, saying the party is becoming stronger every day. He added that ADC now includes some of the best people from both APC and PDP, and more politicians are expected to join soon.
