Hadiza Mohammed, one of the daughters of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has shared an important lesson her father taught his children. She said he always told them not to take anything that belongs to someone else.
She spoke with newsmen on Tuesday, July 16, at her father’s private home in Daura, Katsina State. Hadiza, who is popularly called Nana, said her father believed strongly in good morals and fairness.
She remembered a moment from her childhood that stayed with her. Even though she didn’t go into full detail, she said the experience helped her understand how serious her father was about teaching them right from wrong.
According to her, her father always warned them not to “eat what belongs to other people.” This meant they should never be greedy or take things that are not theirs.
Hadiza said the values her father gave them will always be part of their lives. She added that they will keep passing those teachings to their own children and others around them.
