Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, has shared why his team was able to beat Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) so convincingly in the Club World Cup final. According to him, it was all about the way Chelsea started the game.
He explained that the team’s fast and energetic approach in the first ten minutes made a big difference. They set the tone early, which helped them take control of the match quickly.
Chelsea ended up winning the final 3-0 on Sunday, with all three goals coming in the first half. Cole Palmer was the star of the show, scoring two goals and also setting up Joao Pedro, who scored the third goal.
Speaking after the game to DAZN, Maresca said, “We won the game in the first ten minutes.” He added that even though the weather wasn’t great, the team played just how they wanted in that early period—and that effort paid off.
He also spoke highly of Cole Palmer’s performance, saying they found the perfect spot for him on the pitch, where he had the space to attack. Maresca added that while Palmer did very well, every player on the team gave their best.
This win gave Chelsea the Club World Cup title and showed the strength of their young players and coaching strategy.
