Manchester United has announced new shirt numbers for some of their players ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

According to a post on the club’s official website, two young players, Tyler Fredricson and Chido Obi, will be wearing different numbers this season.

Fredricson, a young defender who came from United’s Academy, will now wear the number 33 shirt instead of his old number 55. He impressed fans and coaches last season, especially after playing in the Premier League matches against Wolves and Brentford.

Obi, who joined United from Arsenal’s Academy last November, will now wear shirt number 32. Last season, the 17-year-old wore the number 56.

In addition to the youth players, the club also confirmed that Diogo Dalot has been given the number 2 jersey. New signing Matheus Cunha will wear number 10.

Other youth players also received squad numbers: Shea Lacey will wear 61, Bendito Mantato will wear 70, and Reece Munro has been given the number 65 shirt.
