Diddy found guilty on 2 of 5 counts charges, acquitted of racketeering conspiracy

Hip-hop star Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been found guilty of two out of five charges in a serious court case involving s£x trafficking and prostitution.

The first charge, which was about running a criminal group for illegal activities, ended in a not-guilty verdict.

For the second charge—forcing or tricking Cassie Ventura into s£x trafficking—Diddy was also found not guilty.

However, on the third count, which accused him of taking Cassie Ventura across state lines for prostitution, Diddy was found guilty.

The fourth charge also involved forced s£x trafficking, this time against someone known only as “Jane.” The jury found him not guilty on this as well.

But on the fifth charge, which again accused him of moving “Jane” for prostitution, the jury decided Diddy was guilty.

Each of the guilty counts could lead to a maximum of 10 years in prison.

The trial lasted six weeks, with the judge being U.S. District Court Judge Arun Subramanian. While the prosecutors called 34 witnesses, Diddy’s defense team didn’t call any. The jury, made up of eight men and four women, reached their verdict after two days of discussion.

The judge is expected to decide later today whether Diddy will stay in jail or be released until his sentencing. Lawyers from both sides will submit their arguments before the judge makes a final decision.

Federal prosecutors have said they are asking for a serious prison sentence for Diddy.

This case began in September 2024 when Diddy was first charged with running a criminal group and forcing women into s£x work.

In March 2025, the case expanded to include more accusations like forced labor. Then in April, new charges were added related to s£x trafficking and prostitution.

The U.S. government accused Diddy of using his companies and staff to run an illegal operation that included forcing women into s£x, hiding criminal actions, and doing things like kidnapping, bribery, and drug crimes.

Two main women were named in the charges, and each had two counts against Diddy—one for trafficking and one for prostitution.

The first witness to testify in court was Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s former girlfriend, who appeared in a widely shared video from 2016 showing Diddy hitting her in a hotel.

Other witnesses included two more women using the names “Mia” and “Jane,” who said they were victims of Diddy’s abuse. Two male escorts also testified, saying they were paid to join in “freak-off” s£xual events with Diddy, Cassie, and other women.

Witnesses also described abuse and s£xual behavior they saw, while a psychologist explained why victims might stay in abusive relationships.

One of the most talked-about witnesses was rapper Kid Cudi. He told the court that Diddy was angry when he dated Cassie and even had his car set on fire. Diddy denied this accusation.
