Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of respected businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.
Saraki described Dantata as a man who stood tall in service, humility, and dedication to the country’s progress.
Dantata passed away early Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at the age of 94.
Reacting to the sad news, Saraki said he was heartbroken to hear about Dantata’s death. He called him one of Nigeria’s greatest leaders who quietly worked to improve the country.
According to Saraki, the loss of Dantata means the end of a period marked by honest leadership and selfless service. He said Dantata lived a meaningful life that helped move Nigeria forward and uplift its people.
He described Dantata as a remarkable man who never sought public praise, yet played a major role in building Nigeria’s business world, supporting others through charity, and showing good moral values.
Saraki said Dantata helped shape Nigeria’s economy with his business work, changed lives with his giving heart, and earned respect through his upright character.
He also mentioned that Dantata was like a father to him, and someone who influenced how he sees leadership today.
Saraki said he was deeply affected by Dantata’s death, recalling how he learned valuable lessons from his wisdom, calmness, and strength.
He offered his sympathies to Dantata’s family, the people of Kano State, and all Nigerians mourning the loss.
Saraki prayed that Allah grants Alhaji Aminu Dantata eternal peace in Aljannah Firdaus.
