Veteran Nigerian actor Ganiu Nofiu, popularly known as Alapini Oosa, has shared his disappointment after feeling abandoned by the Tinubu-led government. He said he had high hopes when supporting President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 elections.
In a recent video trending online, Alapini said he and many others worked hard to promote Tinubu’s campaign, even reaching far and remote communities. Despite their dedication, he claims they haven’t been rewarded or appreciated for their efforts.
Alapini explained that they believed Tinubu would be a great leader and so they gave their all during the campaign. He mentioned that actor Olaiya Igwe, who went viral in 2022 for going naked at a beach to show support, has also not received any recognition or benefits.
The actor questioned the actions of Seyi Tinubu, the president’s son, asking how many hospitals he had visited in Yoruba regions. He said many supporters now feel let down and ignored after putting in so much work during the election.
In a final statement, Alapini warned that unless things change, people may not support Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. Instead of blessings, he said, the next campaign might bring curses.
