Reality star Porsha Williams has come out on top in her legal battle against Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia. The two were fighting over a prenuptial agreement signed before they got married, and now Guobadia will have to give up both money and property.
Porsha and Simon had signed a prenup before walking down the aisle. But after their marriage ended, they disagreed on how it should be handled, leading to a court fight.
The divorce case was delayed a few times because Guobadia was taken into custody by U.S. immigration officers (ICE). That held things up for a while.
Now, Simon Guobadia is back in Nigeria. He left the U.S. after being released from custody, and the case finally moved forward.
Porsha Williams filed for divorce in February 2024 after being married to Guobadia for only 15 months. Their relationship didn’t last long.
Guobadia claimed he only agreed to the prenup because Porsha had told him she was leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta. He says she misled him.
In the end, the court ruled in Porsha’s favor. Guobadia must share part of the value of his $7 million home with her. He also has to pay some of her debts and other expenses, as stated in the prenup.
