Steve Bannon urges Trump to seize SpaceX and deport Elon Musk immediately

Steve Bannon, who used to work for President Trump, wants Trump to check Elon Musk’s immigration status and send him out of the country. This came after Musk and Trump had a public fight on June 5.

Bannon told The New York Times that he believes Musk is in the U.S. illegally and should be deported right away.

On June 5, Musk and Trump argued a lot, especially about a big new bill Trump supports called the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Bannon spoke about Musk on his show, “Bannon’s War Room.” He said bad things about Musk, who used to be the leader of the White House’s Department of Government Efficiency, also known as DOGE.

Bannon said, “Elon Musk is illegal and he has to leave now.” He also said the government should send home other immigrants, starting with South Africans like Musk.

Musk was born in South Africa. He moved first to Canada, then to the U.S., where he became a citizen. He gave about $250 million to Trump’s 2024 campaign. Musk runs big companies like SpaceX, Tesla, and the social media platform X.

Last year, The Washington Post said Musk worked in the U.S. illegally before he became a citizen. This made people like Bannon question if Musk’s citizenship is legal.

Bannon also talked about Musk’s reported drug use. The New York Times said Musk might have used ketamine and other drugs while campaigning, but Musk said these reports were not true.

Bannon said there will be an investigation about Musk’s drug use.

Recently, Musk and Trump’s friendship got worse. Musk called Trump’s big bill “disgusting,” but Trump defended it.

Bannon supports Trump’s idea to cancel Musk’s big government contracts.

He said the contracts should be stopped immediately.

Bannon also did not like Musk’s attacks on Trump. Musk posted on X that Trump was linked to Jeffrey Epstein and said he helped Trump win the election.

Bannon said Trump helped Musk a lot and supported him, even when others warned Trump that Musk was not loyal and was not good at his job.

Bannon said Musk started sending very mean tweets right after Trump spoke kindly about the bill.
