Famous Nigerian businessman Alhaji Aliko Dangote gently corrected an MC who called him the “President of Dangote Group” while Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was present.

This happened on June 5 during the opening ceremony of the Lekki Sea Port Access Road.

After the MC introduced him, Dangote went to the stage and jokingly told the MC, “Mr MC, next time when the President is here, my title is ‘Chairman,’ not ‘President.'”

He added with a smile, “Even if it’s a small ‘p,’ please don’t call me president.”

Dangote then quickly apologized to President Tinubu, saying, “Sorry, sir, he called me president but I stopped him from doing that.”
