Despite being the underdogs, it’s no surprise to see Drake supporting the Canadian team, as he is from Toronto and a passionate sports fan. He even posted about his bet with a cheeky caption, “This could get Messi,” along with a Canadian flag emoji.

Canada’s journey to the semi-final has been an unexpected delight. Under head coach Jesse Marsch, the team entered the Copa America ranked 11th out of the 16 teams based on FIFA rankings. This is Canada’s first time playing in the Copa America, and the men’s national team is aiming for its first major tournament title since the North American Nations Cup in 1990.
