New testimony in the federal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs has revealed unusual and disturbing details about his stays at luxury hotels. On May 22, the court heard that Diddy often left hotel rooms in terrible condition after private sex parties, leading to extra cleaning fees.
The general manager of L’Ermitage Beverly Hills hotel, Frédéric Zemmour, told the court that Diddy was charged $1,000 every time he stayed there. This was due to the heavy use of baby oil and candle wax, which damaged the rooms. Internal notes from the hotel described the aftermath of his visits as “messy” and requiring the rooms to be taken “out of order.”
One case, dated January 10, 2010, showed that hotel staff found large amounts of candle wax on the carpets, furniture, and nightstands. That time, he was fined $500. Staff also mentioned a strong smell coming from the room and said they had to spray air freshener even in the hallways.
The hotel records also showed that Diddy demanded his room be kept extremely hot, using the word “HOT!” in his requests to staff.
These hotel habits were presented in court as part of a bigger picture that prosecutors say shows a pattern of control and abuse. They described Diddy’s hotel sex parties as wild events filled with expensive items, oil, and possible pressure or coercion.
Diddy, now 55, has pleaded not guilty to serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. Investigators have also shown evidence like photos of baby oil, large amounts of cash, and bruises, all used to support the case.
The court expects to finish the trial by the Fourth of July. Prosecutors said it will take about six weeks to present all their evidence.
