Real Madrid’s right-back Dani Carvajal has spoken about his competition with new signing Trent Alexander-Arnold. He believes this rivalry will bring two positive results for both players.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract with Liverpool will end on June 30. After that, he is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer since he has agreed to terms with the Spanish club.
Carvajal shared his thoughts on the upcoming competition with Alexander-Arnold. He said that this challenge will make both of them stronger and bring out their best performances on the field.
When asked about competing with Alexander-Arnold, Carvajal said, “Competition with Trent? Yes, it is clear. It’s not official yet, but it looks like it will happen.”
He also said there is no fear about the situation. “Fear? No, there is no fear here. We will be teammates,” he added.
Carvajal believes that the competition will push both players to improve and play better. “The competition will strengthen both of us and will bring out our best,” he explained.
Alexander-Arnold is expected to be part of Real Madrid’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup this year, where he will begin his journey with the club.
