Tinubu Meets Security Chiefs In Aso Villa 

On Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with key security leaders at the Aso Villa in Abuja. The main purpose of the meeting was to talk about Nigeria’s current security situation and how to handle important national safety issues.

The meeting came just before President Tinubu’s planned trip to Rome. He is set to travel on Saturday to attend the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV.

Top government and military officials were present during the meeting. These included the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Others who attended were the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede; the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla; and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar.

Also present were the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Maj.-Gen. Emmanuel Undiandeye, and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sadiq Idris Abubakar. The gathering showed a strong focus on maintaining Nigeria’s security and ensuring cooperation among different security departments.
