Real Madrid stopped Barcelona from becoming LaLiga champions this week by beating Mallorca 2-1 on Wednesday night.
This was Real Madrid’s first match after their coach Carlo Ancelotti said he will leave to coach the Brazil national team.
Madrid needed to win the game to stop Barcelona from winning the league without playing.
Mallorca surprised everyone by scoring first when Martin Valjent finished a good chance in the 11th minute.
Kylian Mbappe tied the score for Madrid with a great solo goal in the 68th minute. He got past two defenders and scored in the bottom-left corner.
In the last moments of the game, Mallorca made a mistake. Jacobo Ramon took advantage of a pass from Jesus Vallejo and volleyed the ball into the net to score the winning goal.
Now, Real Madrid are four points behind Barcelona with only six games left in the season.
Coach Hansi Flick’s team needs to win just one of their last three games to try and take the title back.
Barcelona could become champions if they win their next game against Espanyol on Thursday.
