Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, who has been facing serious legal troubles, was recently stabbed while serving his prison sentence. He had to be taken to the hospital after the incident.

The stabbing happened on Monday, May 12, 2025. Reports say that the 32-year-old artist got into a fight with another inmate at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. During the fight, the other inmate stabbed him in the prison yard.

According to TMZ, Lanez was quickly taken away by ambulance after the incident. He is currently serving a 10-year sentence for shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

Megan had earlier testified in court that Lanez told her to “dance” before he shot at her during a heated argument.

Authorities are still investigating what caused the stabbing. Thankfully, officials have said the injuries he suffered are not life-threatening.
