Former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has shared his opinion about who is better between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He picked Ronaldo as the one he prefers.
Weidenfeller said he thinks Ronaldo’s hard work and effort make him stand out more than Messi.
He also mentioned that Ronaldo is always the first player to arrive in the dressing room before training or games.
In an interview with The Hindu, as quoted by GOAL, Weidenfeller talked about playing against great players like Messi and Gonzalo Higuain.
But according to him, Ronaldo is different because of how dedicated he is. He trains a lot, spends time in the gym, and always stays longer than others.
Weidenfeller praised Ronaldo’s commitment, saying it has helped him stay at the top of football for many years. Now, Ronaldo continues his career in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards and many big trophies like the Champions League, the Euro Cup, the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A.
The 40-year-old football star has played for some of the biggest football clubs in the world, including Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United.
