Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has voiced his disappointment, revealing that the amount of money he and his wife, Chioma, took home after their wedding did not match the amount of money sprayed by their guests during the event.

The wedding, which took place on June 25, 2024, was an opulent celebration attended by prominent figures from various sectors. Due to Nigeria’s strict laws against the mutilation of its currency, many guests chose to spray dollar bills instead of the local Naira.

Commenting under a video clip that showed guests exuberantly spraying money during the festivities, Davido highlighted the inconsistency between the visible money thrown at the wedding and the actual amount he and Chioma received at the end of the event.

In his comment, Davido wrote,

“The video of all the money they sprayed and what we brought home doesn’t match.”
