Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has expressed satisfaction with his team’s 1-1 away draw against Crystal Palace.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team managed to secure a point at Selhurst Park on Monday night, holding their opponents to a balanced game.
England international Eberechi Eze gave Crystal Palace the lead through a penalty in the 60th minute of the match.
Nottingham Forest responded swiftly, with centre-back Murillo scoring the equalizer just four minutes later, thanks to a deflected shot.
Speaking with Sky Sports, Aina described the draw as a positive result, considering the quality of their opponents. “Getting a point here is not bad. This is a tough place to play, and they are a strong team. With our recent form, this is a good outcome,” he said.
The Tricky Trees have been struggling recently, earning just five points from their last five matches. Their form has raised concerns about their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
Aina acknowledged the team’s current challenges but remained optimistic about their efforts. “That’s football; sometimes things don’t go as planned. We’ve been working hard, and even though we didn’t get three points today, we’ll keep pushing to improve in every game,” he added.
